For Animals

In the spirit of non-anthropocentric design, the project is aimed at providing year-round support to synanthropic species, especially birds and insects. The designer wished to turn the spotlight on the presence of non-human animals in urban areas. Their needs often remain unmet as a result of intensive human activity. The project consists of three ceramic modules: a watering station for insects as well as a feeder and a water basin for birds. Multiplied, these elements make a vertical construction mounted on a metal bar, which is fixed in the ground. All the objects were made using the method of chamotte mortar pressing in a negative plaster mould. The concept is addressed to persons who want to increase the biodiversity of faunal species in their surroundings and take conscious responsibility for the care and maintenance of the installation.
